School Meals

Every pupil from Nursery upwards in the Borough of Westminster is eligible to universal free school meals from September 2023.  Parents must complete the change meal request form that is available below.

Free School Meals for primary school children

We are supporting families by offering free school lunches to pupils attending primary school in Westminster. The new offer will mean that all primary pupils in Nursery and Years 3 through to 6 will now receive a free lunch, as well as students in reception and key stage 1 who are already receiving this offer.

Free School Meals (means tested)

Means tested Free school meals are only available to children whose parents are in receipt of eligible benefits.  Currently these children are also getting free school meal vouchers for during holiday periods (update September 2023), and uniform vouchers to nursery and Year 6 pupils, so if you think you are entitled to this type of Free School Meals, please apply.

Eligible benefits include –

  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400.

  • Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by HMRC.

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
